I first got involved in the Club as a player in 1975 and my involvement has continued unbroken for, what at the time of writing, is 38 years During that time I have been General Secretary, Vice Chairman, Chairman and in 1996 became President.

During this time the Club has provided me with almost equal amounts of ‘pain’ and ‘pleasure’ and the book is my legacy and I hope that those of you who read it will enjoy the experience as much as I’ve had producing it.
